What do those world famous artists have in common?
What they have in common is a remarkable poet, songwriter who wrote for each and everyone of them: Etienne Roda-Gil.
This documentary pays tribute to the creativity of this “industrial poet” as he liked to be called, to this incredible visionary and witness of his time, thanks to the interviews led by Charlotte Silvera, brutally interrupted by the disappearance of Roda on May 28, 2004. But other have taken over: composers, performers and those close to Roda to evoke the considerable place he held in the French song sphere, and the luminous path they traveled on together.
“There’s songs that help you to live and there’s songs that help you to die”
E. Roda-Gil
