Presentation by and discussion with French director Robin Sykes and French actor Thierry Lhermitte
Everyone in the Verdi family takes great care of Roland, the grandfather, who is starting to lose his mind. Everyone, that is, except JB, the teen of the family. He has one goal : to go to Paris with his basketball team for the championship
final. However, his parents, detained that weekend, ask him to give his dream up in order to watch over his grandfather. JB decides to take his grandfather along . Nothing on this trip will go as planned . . .
A touching comedy attesting to the fact that sickness is no match for intergenerational family love.
This screening is associated with Thierry Lhermitte’s Free Master Class & Homage on Thursday, March 28 in VCU’s Institute for Contemporary Art.
